Day 1Arrival in Colombo

On arrival at the Colombo International airport, you will be transferred to Colombo. On arrival in the hotel, spend the day at leisure relaxing and enjoying the hotel facilities.

Day 2Boat trip on Maduganga – Hikkaduwa – Galle

After breakfast proceed to Galle. En route Maduganga Boat Ride. Visit Hikkaduwa, the coral sanctuary was found on the coast of Hikkaduwa is a large shallow body of water enclosed by a reef, decorated with layers of multi colored corals, & colorful fish.
Visit Dutch Fort in Galle: Dutch Fort: Portuguese built the first fort to withstand attack from the Sri Lankan kingdoms in the north.

Day 3Whale watching

Early morning heading to Mirissa at 5.30 am for Whale and dolphin watching. Breakfast will be served during your tour. The frequent sighting all year round has put Sri Lanka and the Mirissa area on the worlds ‘Top Hot Spots’ for sperm whale and blue whale sightings. The blue whales are frequently seen during the first quarter off the South and West Coast of Sri Lanka, which is part of their migration pattern. The period between January and April is also a good time for dolphins. You will often have been accompanied by pods of spinner dolphins during your trips. After lunch transfer to Thissamaharama.

Day 4Safari at Yala Nationalpark

Yala National Park, one of Sri Lanka’s premier eco-tourism destination. The vegetation in the park comprises predominantly of semi-arid thorny scrub, interspersed with pockets of fairly dense secondary forest. Small patches of mangrove vegetation also occur along the coastal lagoons. The park is renowned for the variety of its Wildlife (most notably its many elephants) and its fine coastline (with associated coral reefs). It also boasts a large number of important cultural ruins, bearing testimony to earlier civilizations and indicating that much of the area used to be populated and well developed.

Day 5Wood carving – Transfer to Embilipitiya

After breakfast at your homestay in Tissmaharamaya, enroute Embilipitiya meet Priyanta and his family in the near surrounding of Tissamaharmaya. Spend a half day with this wood carver who has more than 20 years of experience in his work. Priyantha mainly specializes in carving animals and God, deity statues. The family has lived of the profits of their skills they inherit from forefathers.
His hospitality is infectious as Priyantha is willing to demonstrate some carvings while his wife cooks you a delicious Sri Lankan lunch to enjoy with them.

Day 6Hiking in Sinharaja Regenwald

After breakfast heading to Sinharaja for unpredictable rainforest experience in Sri Lanka. Sinharaja (Lion King) is bordered by rivers: the Koskulana Ganga in the north and the Gin Ganga in the south. It was declared a Man and Biosphere Reserve (MAB) in 1978, as representative of tropical humid evergreen forest Eco system in Sri Lanka and has been recognized by UNESCO as part of its International Network of Biosphere reserves. It was declared a National wilderness area in 1988 and lately a world heritage site in 1989.

All accommodations on our tours are in, primarily, family run home stays, farm stays, Eco friendly small hotels. The food in the accommodation is primarily sourced locally or organically grown in the own garden and the large number of dishes on the menus are home made. We encourage and educate local guides in the villages and hire them in places where their expertise and local knowledge will enhance your experience and understanding of historical context and on the environmental impact of your visit.

We work together with a variety of different homestays and eco hotels. Their room availability will be checked at your booking. If one accommodation is already fully booked, you will stay in a similar accommodation of the same category.

How can I book a tour and how is the booking process?

Just contact us via email or you can simply use the inquiry form on the tour page.

How can I pay a tour?

You can pay via direct bank transfer on our Sri Lankan bank account. Further payment methods are currently not available. Thus, you don’t need to pay high credit card fees. After your deposit and remaining payment you will get an invoice. Please note, that the tour price on your booking confirmation has to be paid into our bank account, eventual transfer costs has to be paid by the traveller.
You can easily compare your bank transaction fees with other money transfer companies like e.g. Transferwise or Azimo.

Your wished date is not available? No problem. Just contact us with your wished date and we will try our best to schedule a tour on your wished date.

Where does the tours start and end?

Usually we pick you up from the international airport in Colombo and bring you back at your departure time. If your arrival- or departure time is earlier or later than the tour start or end, we can arrange you the pick-up and bring service to the airport.

If you arrive earlier or depart later than the tour dates, we will arrange an accommodation for you.

Deposit Payment

The deposit payment is 20% of the tour price, if the tour start date is longer than 28 days ahead. The rest payment is due 28 days prior tour start.

If the tour start is less than 28 days ahead at the time of booking, then the full tour price is due immediately.
