Day 1 - 7Ayurveda at Plantation Villa

Arrival in Colombo International Airport and meet with our representative at the arrival lounge Transfer to Kalutara “The Plantation Villa” – An approximation of 2 hrs drive.

Plantation Villa is a specialist Ayurvedic Nature Resort in Sri Lanka that offer you a wellbeing experience for the body and mind through ancient Vedic traditions of Yoga, Ayurveda and Meditation. It is an oasis of calm and peacefulness in a rural village in Sri Lanka. The eco-friendly wellbeing resort consists of eight modern equipped rooms and the food provided is tailored to complement the treatments. All food used in the resort is fresh and organic and majority of the food is cultivated within the hotel grounds. All water used in the hotel comes from the four natural spring water wells in hotel land. The property is surrounded by tropical trees and wild birds with a paddy field, a working rubber plantation, an organic fruit, vegetable and spice garden and a budding mahogany and coconut plantation.

Day 8Bentota Beach

After breakfast at Plantation Villa, we are heading to Bentota.
The Sri Lankan coastal city is famous for golden beaches and is situated on the southern coastal strip of the Galle District. Myths and superstitions are a massive part of our rich Sri Lankan culture thus a fabrication dates back to kingdom era says a demon named Bem ruled the river where the Bentota name derived from.

Option 1: After breakfast go on a wonderful boat ride down the Madu River with its flourishing ecosystem. Pass through the secretive passages created by the mangroves. See the basking crocodiles and water monitors. Visit one of the small islands with its cinnamon harvesting natives. Enjoy the restorative qualities of the avian life fish massage. Observe the water birds in their natural habitats.

Option 2: A whole day at Bentota relaxing on the beach. This is where the fun starts, Bentota host adventure sports such as Jet Skying, Parasailing, Banana Boat Riding, Kayaking and other Water based sports to name a few. You can also experience a very romantic river cruise by going through the Bentara River. (Beach and water activities are optional)

Day 9Kandy City Tour

After breakfast we are heading to Kandy (3,5 hours drive approx.), a city in the center of Sri Lanka. It is the capital of the Central Province. It lies in the midst of hills in the Kandy Valley which crosses an area of tropical plantations, mainly tea. This spectacular and vibrant city is one of the most preferred touristic cities in Sri Lanka. Kandy is of both an administrative and religious city which custodies the Temple of the tooth relic. A couple of days here needed to visit the Temple of the Tooth and the Royal Botanical Gardens in Peradeniya. A boat ride on the picturesque Kandy Lake is a must! There for, we spend two beautiful & worthy days in Kandy.
In the evening we visit the temple of the tooth relic before we attend a Sri Lankan cultural dance show with fire walking, mask dancing and the traditional drum beating called” Bera Wadanaya” which should not be missing in Kandy.

Day 10Tea Plantation

At the second day in Kandy we will visit a tea plantation and taste the tasty Ceylon tea. In the afternoon you will have time for leisure and visit the surroundings of Kandy like Nuwara Eliya.

Day 11Elephan orphanage in Pinnawala - Transfer to Colombo

After breakfast we are heading to Pinnawala elephant orphanage. The primary purpose of the orphanage has been to provide a lifeline to the orphaned baby elephants and adult elephants lost in the wilderness. In many occasions the mother of the orphaned baby elephant had been killed or there have been accidents of baby elephants falling into pits and losing out to the herd. Here you can victim baby jumbos wondering around their cramped foster home or bottle fed and bathed by their human foster fathers at Orphanage. After the orphanage we will continue to Colombo (2,5 hours approx. drive).
In the afternoon, we are doing a Colombo city tour get an intimate look at the Sri Lankan capital of Colombo doing 2-hour sightseeing trip by tuk-tuk with your driver cum guide. Travel like Sri Lankan locals do as you weave through traffic, stopping to check out city landmarks like Colombo Harbour, the Pettah neighbourhood, Wolvendaal Church, Independence Square, Gangaramaya Temple, and much more. After the city tour you can continue exploring Colombo on your own or do a tour. Dinner at Banana Leaf Restaurant.

Today you are free to do what you want, until your transfer to the airport for your departure. (B/-/-)

Accommodation

All accommodations on our tours are in, primarily, family run home stays, farm stays, Eco friendly small hotels. The food in the accommodation is primarily sourced locally or organically grown in the own garden and the large number of dishes on the menus are home made. We encourage and educate local guides in the villages and hire them in places where their expertise and local knowledge will enhance your experience and understanding of historical context and on the environmental impact of your visit.

We work together with a variety of different homestays and eco hotels. Their room availability will be checked at your booking. If one accommodation is already fully booked, you will stay in a similar accommodation of the same category.

How can I pay a tour?

You can pay via direct bank transfer on our Sri Lankan bank account. Further payment methods are currently not available. Thus, you don’t need to pay high credit card fees. After your deposit and remaining payment you will get an invoice. Please note, that the tour price on your booking confirmation has to be paid into our bank account, eventual transfer costs has to be paid by the traveller.
You can easily compare your bank transaction fees with other money transfer companies like e.g. Transferwise or Azimo.

Your wished date is not available? No problem. Just contact us with your wished date and we will try our best to schedule a tour on your wished date.

Where does the tours start and end?

Usually we pick you up from the international airport in Colombo and bring you back at your departure time. If your arrival- or departure time is earlier or later than the tour start or end, we can arrange you the pick-up and bring service to the airport.

If you arrive earlier or depart later than the tour dates, we will arrange an accommodation for you.

Deposit Payment

The deposit payment is 20% of the tour price, if the tour start date is longer than 28 days ahead. The rest payment is due 28 days prior tour start.

If the tour start is less than 28 days ahead at the time of booking, then the full tour price is due immediately.
