Our designated Tuk-Tuk driver will pick you up from your hotel in Galle. En route to Koggala, visit Galle Hinidumgods Vijayananda Vidyalaya, with the potential to explore a rural school, depending on the day and time. Continue the itinerary with a visit to the Turtle Hatchery, a facility dedicated to enhancing the hatching and survival rates of baby turtles. The center also extends its efforts to the rehabilitation of sick or injured adult turtles, facilitating their release back into the ocean. Embark on a captivating boat ride along the Koggala River, immersing yourself in its thriving ecosystem. Navigate through the concealed passages within the mangroves, where sightings of basking crocodiles and water monitors are commonplace. Visit one of the small islands with its cinnamon-harvesting natives. Observe the water birds in their natural habitats. A complimentary city tour of Koggala Temple is included. Udawalawe stands as an optimal location for observing sizable herds of elephants and other fascinating wildlife. The Elephant Transit Home is a rehabilitation center for orphaned or injured elephants. Here, you can learn about the conservation efforts and observe young elephants during feeding time.
